Carraba’s Italian Grill has begun construction on a Jefferson Parish location that the company says will bring 100 new jobs to Metairie.
Contractor for the $1.4 million construction project is Venture Construction Co. of Norcross, GA. The roughly 8000-square-foot restaurant will be at 4631 Veterans Blvd. and has a tentative opening date of early 2015, according to the company spokesman Elizabeth Watts.
It will be the chains’ first location in the greater New Orleans area.
Other locations are in Baton Rouge, Shreveport, and Lafayette.
